HerdRanger is designed to connect directly to the remote host you configure. It is not a cloud relay for your agent conversations or terminal output.
SSH host identity is checked, and saved connection credentials are protected in the app’s encrypted storage. You should still use appropriate host security, strong credentials, and your own network controls.

Is HerdRanger an official Herdr app?
No. HerdRanger is an independent Android client. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or released by Herdr.
What do I need to use it?
You need an Android device, a host you control with a running Herdr session, and SSH access to that host. Compatibility depends on your own Herdr, SSH, network, and Android environment.
Is it available on Google Play?
Not yet. The public release is still being prepared. This site will be updated when early-access availability is ready to announce.
Can HerdRanger start, replace, or update my server automatically?
No. It is designed to avoid changing or replacing your remote setup without an explicit action from you.
What will the early-access program involve?
A small group of people will test their own supported setups, report issues, and confirm key workflows over a short evaluation period. Details will be shared before any program opens.
